Welcome to our first Christmas issue. We’re here to help you get ready – and survive – the festive season. As wives, mums, aunts, daughters and friends, we often spend most of the next few months making sure we have everything just so for everyone else. As bright lights twinkled outside, jolly songs played on the radio and others were feeling full of festive cheer, I was having a tough time. MISSING MY MOTHER AT HER’S I was staying at my mother’s flat recently. For those who don’t know, my 92-year-old mum has been in a nursing home since last year, suffering with dementia.
