IS THERE ANY OTHER statement as radical, as confusing, as uncomfortable, as ‘I don’t know’? As controversial, challenging, offensive, outrageous? I don’t think so. Right now, those three and a half words are less socially acceptable than: swearing, conspiracy theorising, possibly (probably!) hate speech (because with that, at least, people know to cancel you).
