AFTER a four year hiatus mainly due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Citrus Growers’ Association of Southern Africa (CGA) recently hosted a Citrus Summit, bringing together more than 500 citrus growers and key stakeholders from across the country.
This was a significant event for the industry, which is poised for major growth over the next decade.
Citrus exports are set to increase by 10 million (15kg) cartons per year over the next ten years, with a target of 260 million cartons by 2032.
