September’s Apple Special Event revealed a plethora of new Apple models for 2022. Unlike years gone by, it felt less about the iterative (though that’s still a thing), and more about the innovative. Apple is back with a bang! Possibly the most interesting of these is an expanded and tweaked family of iPhones, consisting of the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The Plus is a return to the plus–sized branding that we last saw with the iPhone 8, once again denoting a screen size bump, as well as a bigger battery. THE NEXT GENERATION of iPhone is here. iPhone 14 has a 6.1–inch screen and starts at $799, the same as the launch price of iPhone 13 (which remains available, now starting at $699), while iPhone 14 Plus has a new 6.7–inch screen (the same size as iPhone 13 Pro Max) and starts at $899. Both models have impressive camera enhancements and new safety capabilities, although they are less of an upgrade than the new Pro models (see page 8). Both iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus have an A15 Bionic chip with a 5–core GPU (the same chip as the iPhone 13 Pro).
