EDITOR’S SAY
As Editor-in-Chief of MILIEU and as a longtime interior designer, I make changes all of the time—on pages and in rooms. My favorite method for transforming the interiors of my home is to use slipcovers. I love their versatility, their informality, and the ease with which you can make a home feel new—but still familiar. I continue to be amazed by the many ways to make a slipcover—with pleats and skirting, trims or piping, fringes or tassels, or simply as a patterned or monochromatic fabric. A well-fitting slipcover is an elegant, tailored way to change up your furniture and your daily life. In fact, I am so taken with slipcovers as a design element that I decided, along with the MILIEU team, to focus in this issue on projects by interior designers…
