Hello! The countdown’s on to one of the most memorable Christmases you’ll ever have – as never is it more special than when you have your own little family to share it with! Whether you’ve got an inquisitive toddler or are nursing a growing bump, suddenly all the fuss that your mum and dad have made over the years makes complete sense, and you get the joy of passing on that sense of wonder. Whether it’s singing your favourite Christmas carols together (a toddler’s version of fa la la la la has to be heard to be believed!), snacking on festive goodies or gazing at your neighbours’ fairy lights, it’s a sensory feast you’ll both love – and it hardly has to cost a penny to make memories you’ll treasure for…

Fa-la-la-la... Everywhere you go there are carols at this time of year, so if you’re pregnant, be prepared for your baby to be extra active as she joins in with the music! Researchers* have discovered that babies respond to music from as early as 18 weeks, showing their appreciation by moving their mouths and tongues. And while lots of them enjoy pop music – 60 per cent of babies responded to Adele’s Someone Like You – they enjoy classical most of all, with Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik getting a response from 91 per cent! M&B LOVES You deserve it! While you’re busy shopping for gifts, why not treat yourself to a little something too? Merci Maman’s new Christmas collection is so beautiful, it’s hard to resist. louise pentland where do i start?

As the song says, ‘It’s the MOST wonderful tiiiime, of the yeaarr!’. Hurrah! I’m sure we’re all very excited to see the children open their carefully chosen (by Santa, of course) presents, excited for that big sparkly night out with our friends, excited to host the most wonderful Christmas Dinner anyone’s ever tasted and then, of course, really excited to make those New Year resolutions that are going to be absolutely life changing! Sound like a lot? Yep. It is. We’ve all been there, though, haven’t we? Setting these huge goals for ourselves to make December the best month ever and, then, after we’ve given everything we’ve got physically and mentally, give it some more in the New Year! But I’m going to propose something a bit radical now: I’d…

Here’s a festive picture of myself, my husband Daniel, daughters, Kyra, six, and Tammy, five, and son Freddie, 19 months. We make an extra effort to be joyful at Christmas, visiting a local forest to choose a real tree and see the reindeer. We ride the Santa train, go to church, and do Christmas Eve boxes. When I was growing up we didn’t have much money, but my parents always managed to make Christmas special. I have happy memories of tacky foil decorations and driving around looking at Christmas lights. My parents taught me that it is about being together, not just giving presents. I want my children to learn the same thing and have lovely memories like mine. RACHAEL SHEERWOOD, NORWICH Rachael wins a £150 voucher from Polarn O. Pyret, the…
