WHAT YOU’LL NEED • Drop cloth or trash bags • Large canvas • Acrylic paint in several neutrals and colors (We used beige, gray, taupe, white, blue, and aqua.) • Medium-size paintbrushes with mediumsoft bristles • Artist palette • Clear acrylic gel medium (We used Artist's Loft Gloss Super Heavy Gel.) • Painting knife Different strokes Muted hues, acrylic gel medium, and a 36x48-inch canvas team up for a showstopping piece that fills the awkward space above a sofa.
