iCreate is the creative magazine for Apple computer users. Made for Mac users by Mac users, it provides sumptuously designed, essential content for Apple aficionados and switchers alike. Featuring in-depth tutorials in iMovie, iPhoto and the rest of the iLife applications as well as iTunes and Mac OS X, it is the magazine no Apple addict can be without. If Apple made a magazine, it would be iCreate. Please note: Digital versions of the magazines do not include the covermount items or supplements that you would find on printed editions.

What, you didn’t expect me to update my photo to tie in with the new-look iCreate, did you? This was never going to happen as, thanks to the endless lockdowns, I now resemble a dishevelled man from the hills, not unlike Michael Sheen in Staged which, mercifully, is a stark contrast to the fresh, clean and vibrant look we have applied to the magazine this month. Beyond the polished new visuals are the same in-depth how-to guides for mastering your Apple devices that this magazine is renowned for, including one that is very close to home for me. It turns out that a 21.5-inch, late 2015 iMac that you can’t upgrade doesn’t combine well with macOS Big Sur. But on page 36, we show you a…

apple announces wwdc 2021

APPLE HAS ANNOUNCED THAT ITS WORLD WIDE DEVELOPERS CONFERENCE (WWDC) WILL TAKE PLACE JUNE 7-11 AND WILL BE AN ONLINE-ONLY EVENT. The 2020 WWDC also took place entirely online so, although we had hoped for an in-person event this year, it’s not entirely surprising that the event has been made online-only again. WWDC21 is a chance for the people who develop apps for your Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, iPhone or iPad, to get together and learn more about the latest technologies, tools and frameworks in Apple’s various operating systems. So, while the content of the conference tends to be over the heads of the average Apple user (unless you’re a dab hand at coding in Swift), the event itself also acts as a focus point for Apple’s new product releases.…

68 ios & mac pro tips

Apple prides itself on producing intuitive devices that anybody can pick up and use, young or old. The Mac has always been far more user-friendly than a Windows PC, and the touchscreen of Apple’s iPhone and iPad devices has become synonymous with speed and efficiency. But not all of the best features are on display at the top of the interface – sometimes you have to do a little digging around to uncover some of the cooler nuances, which brings us to the purpose of this feature. Over the following pages, we showcase some of the best ‘pro’ features of iOS and macOS that can enhance your productivity and help you tailor your device to better meet your needs. And although many of the tips we provide can be used on…
