a visual triumph

From tired and tiny to stylish and spacious, this kitchen has undergone a complete overhaul to increase the sense of space in a most unlikely manner. The use of colour in the smoky black cabinets cleverly creates the illusion of depth, while mirrors open up the space behind the kitchen. The black rear cabinets float into the background, while the white cabinets at the front stretch the space forward, dramatically increasing the apparent size of the kitchen. The illusion carries into the adjoining meals area, which also feels lighter and brighter thanks to the use of white at the closest focal point. Practicality with no sacrifice of aesthetic is at the forefront of this design. The pantry space has been maximised, offering a greater capacity than the previous design, and spice inserts…

signature sophistication

Designed for a family that values cooking and socialising, this kitchen has been completely overhauled and customised for functionality and style. The family has many friends and overseas visitors and needed a space that would accommodate everyone. The custom Wood Marble & White cabinetry provides an elegant aesthetic with a touch of traditional style. Shaped panels add interest to the glass-front doors, which turn storage space into a display. This feature panelling is a standout, with the internals in black adding depth while contrasting beautifully with the white cabinetry. The design is characterised by a large, above-average-length kitchen island that incorporates generous storage and stunning feature lighting. The island makes a bold focal statement while adding additional functionality for the family. The sweeping counter space acts as an ideal area for meal…

the element of style

With an evident emphasis on simplicity and function, this design showcases a distinct style with eye-catching stone countertops, polished concrete flooring and high-end modern appliances. The sliding-door pantry is but one of the heroes in this kitchen and although space did not allow for a full butler’s pantry, no sacrifice for practicality has been made. The sliding-door style is a perfect alternative, providing “a place for everything and everything it’s place”. It has open shelving to easily reach food items, inner drawers for storage of plates and staple food and plenty of benchtop space for small appliances. Meanwhile, the sliding doors allow a quick way to hide clutter and keep the kitchen clean and inviting. The integrated appliances, including a Fisher & Paykel fridge, Siemens dishwasher and Sirius rangehood, are an integral…

mid-century meets modern

Expert attention to detail and a focus on premium materials elevate this kitchen to a luxurious space that complements this mid-century-style family home. With a brief to open the kitchen area by removing a heavy brick island back wall and a wall between the meals and family room, the formerly enclosed layout has been transformed into the ultimate open-plan retreat. Commonly used in mid-century design, blackwood timber is the standout feature of this space, with stunning accents beautifully executed throughout. A slatted solid timber screen creates an endpoint for the kitchen while providing an open barrier that is a nod to traditional mid-century design. Accentuating the natural timber, LED strip lighting has been installed to the underside of the overhead cabinets and custom blackwood bar light. The curved island bench with blackwood…
