DADS IN THE DELIVERY ROOM Thank you so much for your article on how men view the labour experience (Delivery Men, November 2015). It brought a tear to my eye to read about the dad’s perspective of birth. There is so much emphasis placed on the woman in labour and the midwives and doctors, that the poor old dads are often neglected. My husband was an absolute star when I gave birth to our bub, Caleigh (now 11 months). But I felt even more guilty when she said she was hoping to be able to stay at home and not have to return to work for another year. I return to work in four weeks…

what works for me

KEEPING WARM I’ve never been a singlet fan but still want the same warmth and protection for my daughter, so instead I use all-in-one button-up suits under everyday clothes and especially pyjamas. You have the choice of either short or long sleeves and there are no cold back chills! The same goes with socks – we use footed tights and that way she doesn’t get cold feet like she did as a result of pulling her socks off. It also makes washing and hanging out a whole lot easier, too! Felicity, via email ON-THE-GO ORGANISER Car organisers are a great way to keep our car tidy and prepared. I have two boys, and my car is always stocked with nappies, wipes, spare clothes, drinks and a jumper each. I originally bought these car seat…
