MAKING IT WORK
Things are weird right now. I seem to be saying that a lot recently, and I read it other places even more often … but is it really true? If you spend too much time on Facebook, or dive too deep into your phone’s newsfeed, the ominous cloud of shallow journalism and misconstrued information looms dark and close. But on the other hand, if you take a minute to look down your street and actually converse with the neighbors, things don’t really seem all that bad, do they? So, which is it? Top-level firearms instructors often educate their students about the differences—and similarities—between understanding “perceived threat level” and “actual threat levels.” Sometimes, those two are worlds apart … but sometimes they’re not. Most of the time, we just don’t know how weird things around us…
