For young children, a garden is a magical place. It’s somewhere their imaginations can roam free, their creativity can be explored, their understanding of nature can be developed, their motor skills honed and their energy expended. It’s a place for fun and games, but also learning.
Some play will be born from the child’s own imagination — you just have to create the right setting and they will take it from there. Other activities can be guided to stimulate a child’s creativity and engagement. Then there is active play that is good for mind, body and spirit.
