After the Vegas attack, Nicole Hockley, 44, whose six-year-old son Dylan was shot dead at Sandy Hook Elementary School in December 2012, said that it’s time to reframe the gun debate to prevent more deaths.
US-born Nicole, who returned to America after starting her family in the UK, said, “There’s so much on this issue that we’re not doing.
“People always say, ‘Oh, nothing’s happened, and therefore nothing’s going to happen.’ For Christ’s sake, why be so defeatist? There are things you can do. We’ve tried policy for a few decades now. Try something else. Why keep banging yourself against the wall, doing the same thing and expecting different results?”
