Sometimes, with our 24/7 access to news, the endless feed that changes by the minute, it’s easy to lose sight of the realities behind each story. To forget that, accompanying tales of packed-out hospitals, rising infection rates and the plummeting economy, there are real people living among the newspaper ink. A year has passed since, on 23rd March, we were told to “stay at home, save lives”. The months that have followed have taken their toll in so many ways that it would be impossible to zoom in (pun, unfortunately, intended) on every single angle, so we have assembled a group of people who have had a remarkable year within the crisis.
