I recently came across an article on a popular online news site comparing homeschooling vs. institutional schooling. The author appeared to have little experience with homeschooling education. From my 12+ years of homeschooling two children and teaching in various pods and co-ops, my experiences have been entirely different. My point of view comes from being educated in the public school system, attending both private and public universities, starting my children in private school, and then choosing to homeschool. I agree with the author’s assertion that schooling choices are a personal decision and that there is no cookie-cutter solution for everyone.
