But we must admit, we do have a bit of help from time to time. This week, we give a warm welcome to the lovely Iain MacLeod, Corrie’s producer, who took time to chat with us about the upcoming stories on the Street, and revealed there’s a few big shocks on the agenda in the next few months. But don’t worry, we’ve not neglected this week’s dramas. Those big secrets from Christmas are still causing big bother in Walford, with Linda, Louise and Martin all looking set to pay the price. Meanwhile, Emmerdale sees Graham’s enemies lining up, each one…

Desperate David thinks all his prayers have been answered this week, when Shona wakes from her coma – however, his nightmare is only just beginning. Although she’s fought back from the brink of death, Shona isn’t the woman David married a few weeks ago. In fact, she has no idea who he is and remembers nothing about their life together. Her reaction to him leaves David distraught. “David imagines that Shona will open her eyes and wrap her arms around him, but that’s not the case at all,” warns Jack P Shepherd, who plays the inconsolable husband. “She opens her eyes and doesn’t know who he is! After weeks of waiting by her side, dreaming of this moment, he’s gutted. Shona doesn’t know who she is, never mind David!” Doctors…

He’s been to hell and back over the past couple of years, and David has yet more heartache ahead of him as Shona remains lost to him. We all know that the volatile fella can turn to the dark side, and Jack fears we may see the return of evil David – particularly when Fiz admits she brought the gun to the Street. “David reminds Fiz that Shona may not make a full recovery and that’s down to what she did!” shares Jack. “He’s been through so much this year. He’s living on the edge right now, and David is capable of anything. This storyline is something very different to play – I’m really looking forward to it!”…

When determined Rhona gives Graham an ultimatum this week, insisting they must get out of the village within days, she’s oblivious to the predicament he’s currently in. The consequences of his actions mean Graham is desperate to escape the Dales alive – and Rhona has no idea of just how much trouble he’s in, or that it means he’s now most likely to be leaving the village in a box! But as Rhona lets slip to Marlon that she’s leaving, we chat to star Zoe Henry, who plays her, to discuss the mounting pressure her character is under… Hi Zoe! Graham has little time to pack his suitcase this week, when Ryan sends him reeling with the news that he knows he’s been fiddling the Home Farm accounts – but does Graham already have another plan up his sleeve to keep Ryan silent? He’ll need to work fast, if he’s to sort this problem in time to get away with Rhona. But after Ryan’s mum Charity wades in to warn Graham that she’s keeping an eye on him, and with Marlon raging at the thought of Rhona leaving with his son, are his potential murderers closing in already?…

Spiralling booze addict Linda is forced to confront a sobering reality this week, as she finally remembers going to a hotel with a stranger on New Year’s Eve. EastEnders viewers know that drunken Linda ended up going off with a man whom she met while off her face in The Prince Albert. Thankfully, though, she came to her senses once the pair were alone in a room together – and ran off after kneeing the bloke in the goolies when he tried it on with her. However, Linda was so drunk that she doesn’t have any recollection of where she was or whom she was with that evening.
