PLAN AHEAD
“A good contract protects you AND your clients,” says @agervs. “I create a clear, structured plan emphasizing payment times/ conditions with my clients, give them a copy and refer to it regularly.” If you know someone is likely to be a problem, you can act to mitigate that. “Repeat offenders have to pay in advance before start of project if it’s a flat fee, weekly payments if I’m charging hourly,” says @manonatelier.
