The three things I’d take to a desert island are… sunscreen, a hammock and a bikini. Not much else would be required! On my bucket list is… to travel somewhere new every year. Miss representation There are lots of questions about why girls don’t go into science, technology or math-based careers. Now US researchers have found it may be because girls don’t consider themselves to be as smart as boys – and this starts when they’re six. When five-year-olds were read a story about a smart person and asked to guess their gender, boys and girls were equally likely to say the protagonist was the same gender as they were.
