RAIN, MUDDY DITCHES, thunderstorms, and floodings. This is how I remembered February from my last stay in Bolivia. And this is exactly what we wanted to experience in February 2022, because we went out to collect killifish of the family Rivulidae. To do so successfully, you need rain and loads of water, otherwise these seasonal fish are hard to find. But in this line of adventure you need to get used to changes and plans that don’t work, so we postponed the trip once, switched to another area to collect in and yet still what we experienced was an average 39 °C every day, a few hours of rain during the whole trip and dry lands everywhere.
