Fancy a great ride incorporating the B6537? Try this…
Route Moffat, Innerleithen, Heriot, Selkirk, Hawick, Bonchester Bridge, Newcastleton, Langholm, Mountbenger, Tweedsmuir, Moffat.
Length 175 miles
Ride it because It’s basically a loop connecting most of the best roads in the Borders, with something for every kind of rider; fast, open, slow, fiddly, dramatic. Every section has something special to experience - from the Devil’s Beef Tub, to Talla Reservoir, to Steve Hislop’s birthplace, to the Cheviots. Unmissable.
Best view so many highlights, but the B709 after Crosslee as you round into the valley is my fave.
Nearest big town Hawick is kinda in the middle.
Stop for a cuppa at Glen Café at St Mary’s Loch.
MID-LATE SUMMER IS BEST
Long evenings, less midges and warm weather.…
