SEMA convened advocates from across California’s automotive aftermarket June 11, for the annual SEMA California Rally in Sacramento, with business leaders and content creators speaking to lawmakers about the important issues affecting the industry. Advocates spoke about Leno’s Law, Proposition 65, emissions compliance and tax credits for manufacturing and R&D equipment—all important issues that SEMA is working on.
The Sacramento rally showcased the significant economic influence of the specialty automotive aftermarket industry in California; SEMA’s members in the state play a big role in the industry’s $40-billion annual economic impact, which sustains nearly 150,000 jobs.
