HOME TOUR Bringing your work home isn’t always a good idea, but if you’re an illustrator with a love of plants, folklore and fairy tales, it makes for an enchanting house filled with interesting finds, creative touches and a warm welcome.
The Sheffield home of artist, illustrator and author Sandra Dieckmann – which she shares with husband Tim, their daughter Ronja, six, and their tuxedo cat, Little Crumb – dates back to the early 1900s and has a Victorian feel, with early Art Deco features, too. After spending their twenties in London, the couple were drawn to Sheffield because it offered family-friendly city life close to the Peak District. “It has a great music and pub scene, theatre, outdoor space and an easy commute to London for work,” explains Sandra.…
