The second stop of the PWT took place at Lake Norman, one of the most active and largest wakeboarding lakes in the nation. The level of riding that went down at this event set a new precedent for what can and will be done at future PWT stops. On and off the water, Mooresville, North Carolina, delivered. We couldn’t have asked for better weather, smoother water or a more engaged crowd. Shota Tezuka started the contest off with a strong, stand-up run in the quarter-finals, setting the benchmark for the incredible riding we were about to see. All-new for 2016, the Supra SA got a complete redesign. After testing it out in person, I’ve got to say, this thing was a real treat to ride behind. It was all-out luxurious and beyond pro-level in every way. I don’t know how else to say how great this boat is to wakeboard behind. If you have a good backflip on the trampoline and a lofty, consistent backside re-entry ollie, then you’ve got the perfect recipe for a tantrum. Learning the trick in this order will help you land it faster, with fewer hard falls. MASTERCRAFT XSTAR MasterCraft’s XStar is from another planet, inside and out. The helm houses triple touchscreens, one of which pops up from the dash on an actuator. It looks like something NASA came up with. The center touchscreen is flanked by tweeters, and nearly everything is constructed of billet aluminum to give that classic MasterCraft look and feel.
