cleanse, energize, pamper

Let’s start with the bad news: It’s been estimated that, on average, we eat or drink about 4 quarts of pesticides, take in 11 pounds of chemical food additives and breathe in two grams of solid pollution every year. WHY YOU NEED TO DETOX We all want to enjoy good health, unlimited energy, restful sleep and a sense of well-being. But the world around us presents us with real challenges in realizing these goals. We may find ourselves relying on convenience food for our daily meals because we’re working longer hours. Even if we try to improve our diets, buying natural…

That’s a huge percentage of your body’s makeup, so when people say water is crucial for survival, they aren’t kidding. Staying hydrated is by far one of the best things you can do for your digestive health. It is required for a whole range of essential tasks, including: acting as a transportation system for nutrients, circulating them around the body; lubrication; regulation of your temperature; maintaining a…

healthy nails

Nails can often be forgotten, but virtually every nutritional deficiency can affect the growth and health of your nails in some way. Certain nutrients, however, are more important than others to maintain strong, healthy nails. Your nails are made up of keratin-rich proteins and trace vitamins and minerals in proportion to the amount of each you consume. It makes sense, then, that nutrition plays an important role in the health of your nails. As nails are made from a protein base of keratin, just like your hair, they require adequate protein from your diet to keep them growing strong. Meat, poultry, dairy and seafood are great sources of protein. If you’re vegan, legumes, nuts and beans are good options. A deficiency in iron or vitamin B12 can result in brittle nails that have…
