DO YOU LOVE TO GIVE HANDMADE GIFTS? I do! I enjoy making—and receiving—handmade gifts, especially quilts. When selecting fabrics, I think about the recipients and try to pick their favorite colors or motifs. My favorite part of the quilting process is choosing the fabrics and cutting them into teeny-tiny pieces, just to sew them all back together! I also like to make multiples of smaller items to give to family, friends, and coworkers. Once I find a pattern I like, I can easily make 25 of the same thing. One year for Christmas, everyone on my list received a hand-knit scarf. Another year I stitched more than 50 zippered pouches.
