Hey kids! When you hear the word “superhero”, what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Is it Batman, Superman, Spider-Man or Captain America? While there are countless male heroes we look up to (real or fictional), there are also female heroes, many who walk amongst us unknown… The Superwomen in our lives may be dressed in an apron, making our breakfast in the morning or making sure we get to school on time. Or she may be standing in front of the classroom, teaching your least favourite subject. This issue of ASIAN Geographic Junior is dedicated to female heroes all across Asia. My kids love the Amazing Animals and Laugh out Loud sections, and we especially love the design of the magazine and its educational value. However, we would like to see more educational materials on encounters they may face day-to-day.
