Dad, who grew up on a north Texas farm, taught me many things about plants. How to feed roses by making a little trench of soil around the base and adding the rose…

the livin’ is easy

Even the breeze lingers in Katie Logan Leblanc (left) and Jensen Killen’s boutique, Sunday Shop, as patrons browse stacks of blankets and flickering aromatic candles. True to its name, the year-old store honors the most restful day of the week with comfort, pleasure, and too many pillows to count. Sunday Shop is the Garden District spot for useful items with quirky twists—speckled ceramic match holders and dusters for indoor plants, to name a few. The casual setup of the build-your-own bouquet bar and crafty classes (like block-printing tea towels) helps visitors feel like they are completing projects at home. In fact, the 1870s townhouse is arranged as if it were still a private residence. “It’s the little touches,” Katie says. “Music playing, espresso brewing … it’s a second home to us.” sundayshop.co BY:…
