September means that new-term feeling; it means end-of-summer bounty (the last of the sweetcorn cobs in their rustly wrappings, the never-ending tomato glut – and hello, apples!). And it means, somehow, that time is starting to feel squeezed again as we reacquaint ourselves with what life used to be like. I, for one, am trying to note and hold on to things I’ve learned and appreciated from the past year and a half – the importance of friends and neighbours; how to cram in less and appreciate more (quiet moments in particular); and that, on occasion, it’s okay to say no. It really is. As the schools go back, it’s an apt time to learn new skills (or polish up existing ones). To help you do just that, we’re honoured to…
