This year has been a bit of a doozy — the pandemic, sheltering at home and even going to school on Zoom. It probably isn’t what you had in mind for your 2020, and it’s been a tough time for everyone. But we hope that this activity will help you remember that some positive things have happened, too! MAKE A NEW FRIEND. Is there someone in your class who seems to keep to themselves, try starting a conversation. It’ll mean a lot! CREATE CHEER UP CARDS. SAY THANK YOU. When someone does something nice for you, let them know by writing them a note or giving them a call. CHECK IN. Does it seem like one of your friends is in a funk? Ask them if they want to talk and let them vent if they need to. SEND…

Forgiving others may come naturally to you, but we’re often less prepared to forgive ourselves. If you make a mistake, own it, commit to being better and move forward. Stop thinking “I can’t.” Putting limits on what you can achieve is only going to get you down. Instead, ask yourself, “How can I do this?” and make a plan. Sometimes we don’t talk about our accomplishments because it feels like bragging. It’s okay — even encouraged — to…
