Just in time for SIHH, Jaeger-LeCoultre announced Benedict Cumberbatch as its latest brand ambassador. bvlgari’s new curiosity shop

According to Bvlgari, the New Curiosity Shop on Rome’s Via Condotti expresses “the utmost creativity of the brand. It is the place in Rome to discover Bvlgari’s wonders along with magnificent, unusual, enchanting and eclectic collections.” Updating Sotirio Bvlgari’s original Old Curiosity Shop, which opened in 1905, and located next to the original site, the New Curiosity Shop is aimed at the market for contemporary luxury, with emphasis on a younger generation.It is, in effect, an expression of modern multimedia techniques, applied to the calibre of retailing that would have been the norm for the beau monde a century ago. This year’s SIHH provided Girard-Perregaux with the perfect opportunity to introduce American singer-songwriter Laura Pergolizzi – better known by her stage name LP – as the newest member of its “Talents Team”.In Girard-Perregaux’s words, “a true friendship developed” between the musician and the manufacture after LP chose to wear a stainless-steel Laureato in the music video for her 2016 track Tightrope.Formally welcomed by CEO Antonio Calce at a press conference in the brand’s SIHH booth, LP treated attendees to an off-the-cuff performance with just her and a ukulele.
