Some strange home improvement bug bit my team in January this year, and here we are, bringing out the most colourful issue, loaded with unique homes from across the world, colourful decor products, and luxurious living ideas. Recently something caught my attention, it was James Law Cybertecture’s Opod tube homes, with tiny apartments built inside a 2.5 meters diameter concrete water pipe. The unfinished internal space of the concrete pipe provides a rustic feel, while the architect fills in colours through furniture and fittings made out of recycled products. A standout trend, apart from Ulta-Violet, includes a movement to intense colours rather than pastels - good news for bright colour lovers. Above the Rest The simple reason why I am so much attached to TIHG is because of the fact that TIHG keeps discovering and re-discovering new and novel things for our humble abodes to keep increasing their worth. The feature ‘vertical landscaping’ about vertical gardens for small spaces proved a real discovery of 2018 for those who are blessed with small dwellings, and are looking for satiating their desires within their limited resources and space. It really came as a boon for my mother who is fond of growing plants, but cannot fulfill her desire due to space-crunch.
