Exactly a decade ago, I started my writing career with a UK based decor magazine, and my first big feature was on bathrooms. I had researched so much about this space that somehow it became extremely special to me. The bathroom industry has changed significantly over the last 10-years, but one thing that has remained constant is the vital role that design plays in making bathrooms practical, efficient and enjoyable places. This issue is no exception, with features loaded about bathroom spaces that are revolutionising the way we used to see it. From classic black to popping colour and basic white to shiny metallic, we have shared 50+ options to redesign/revamp your bathspace. If you don’t want to splurge more, add a piece of furniture, or how about bathroom decor pieces?…

Great Impact TIHG as a magazine is getting better and better each passing year. Every issue is different. The presentation, the colours, the visuals, all simply delight the eyes and the soul. As a family we simply enjoy reading the magazine. Looking forward to innovative, creative and imaginative articles month after month. Gayatri Prasad, Puri, Odhisa Homes Galore Our home is close to our heart, whether it be a small house or a large mansion. TIHG as a magazine never ceases to amaze. The homes – India as well as international, are presented in an alluring manner. It’s not the number of pages that wins our hearts, it’s the way the home is presented visually. And, TIHG are master presenters of visuals, colours, and presentation. Just as an input - small cities and towns…

letter of the month

Simply Special Times are changing, so are our interests. Take the case of the simple stool - over time it has also evolved into something very much interesting. The article Special Feature talks about stools of varied nature – the article was a good read, because of the different ‘characters’ with quirky postures. Such chairs and stools also help in enhancing the decor of your home. Place them where you please and they will simply gel with the environment. The other interesting read was TIHG Decor. The colour yellow is not only soothing, but also spreads a charm of its own. Would like to read more such interesting features in the forthcoming issues. Maria Louis, Mumbai…

behind the design

Pyrography is all about... An age-old technique where a heated metal implement is used to burn on wood or leather, creating a decorative pattern. Also known as wood burning. Pyrography art to me is... A profession, where I use a hot metal tool and a steady hand to burn realistic images onto unfinished pieces of wood. Through my art... I find a deep spiritual connection with nature. Over the years as I’ve explored its nuances, the subtle blends of wood and the subjects I portray, I feel I’ve discovered something truly beautiful. I draw inspiration from... Natural habitat and wildlife. The art era that fascinates me the most... My work is inspired by my love for nature, by the medium I use, and by the natural eco-system I live and work in. What I have always loved about my work... Is…
