FISHER & PAYKEL BEAUTIFUL DESIGN AND SMART USE OF SPACE BRINGS FORM AND FUNCTION TO THIS STUNNING WAREHOUSE CONVERSION. Interior designer Carole Whiting is known for creating refined, sophisticated spaces with incredible materiality. Her own apartment is no exception, with the crisp, monochromatic palette of materials and tones establishing a unique, minimalist aesthetic. The existing kitchen was dark and awkward, with a heavy marble bench that divided and crowded the space, and cabinets that inhibited movement through the space. Whiting removed this island, replacing it with a lightweight, freestanding trestle-style table. She placed cabinetry around the walls to open up the room to natural light and the rest of the apartment. To maintain the clean aesthetic, Whiting hid the dishwasher behind one of the white larch cabinets, and a slim, integrated fridge-freezer behind another. “Integrated…
