Now that I’m back WFH again, the proximity from my office desk (okay, dining table) to the kitchen is infinitesimal. I’m spending a lot of time thinking about what’s looking tired and could be redone. The concrete bench is what I most want to do something about. That and the dishwasher, which is so old you have to violently wrench it open, throw the dishwasher powder in and quickly close it before it falls out of its broken cavity. A new splashback would be nice too. So, it’s great timing to have renovations expert Jen Jones break down just where you can save money in the kitchen and where you can splurge on page 86.
