Editor’s letter
Our next-door neighbour is 91 years old. Fit as a fiddle, smart, generous and with a laugh that makes you laugh too, she’s everything you could want in a neighbour. As the years have passed – we’ve been living side by side for almost 14 years now – she’s become part of our extended family. Our boys take out and bring in her rubbish bins each week, for which she’s very grateful and slips them a carton of Favourites chocolates every so often, and my husband acts as her IT guy when her iPad or phone goes on the blink.
