If my body were a storage device, it would be a hard drive. It’s got lots of moving parts, it’s probably past its best, and it makes similar noises: clicking (my knees), grinding (my jaw), buzzing (my head, notably before my first coffee of the day). I could try installing an SSD as a rejuvenating tonic, but I’d rather not think about where it would have to be inserted. My computers had no such fears when I shoved SSDs inside them. I now have a Crucial SATA drive speeding up my ageing PC, while my laptop can thank a Samsung NVMe model for making it feel young again.
