My son, Grey, and I woke up early this morning to put the chocolate shells on our homemade cream eggs before I headed to work. The recipe has been a family favorite for me since grade school, when my mom tore it out of a magazine and whipped up the delicious treat for the first of many Francisco Easter feasts. The original page actually lives folded up in my mom’s recipe box (that’s it above!).
