kj apa’s movie is a must-see!

There’s a whole lot to love about The Hate U Give! Based on the YA best seller by Angie Thomas, this story isn’t your average teen blockbuster centered just around a high school romance. Instead, it’s about a girl named Starr (Amandla Stenberg) who witnesses the tragic shooting of her best friend. She decides to stand up for what’s right instead of caving into the pressures of her community thanks to help from her family, friends and boyfriend, Chris, played by KJ Apa. Check out what KJ exclusively told us about the flick! J-14: We’re so used to seeing you on Riverdale! Would you say Chris is anything like Archie? KJ: Honestly, I feel like they’re pretty similar. MF: Well, it is inspired by the story we all know, but it’s so much more — it’s exciting and surprising too! J-14: Did you have any connections to Clara before you landed the role? MF: Yeah, The Nutcracker has always been this special holiday tradition in my family. is it true?

Did Hailee struggle with comparing herself to peers? Scrolling through Hailee Steinfeld’s Insta feed of concert pics, fitness shots and flawless selfies, it seems that the singer has a strong sense of self and owns it. But, it hasn’t always been this way. “With Instagram, I’ve been guilty of comparing myself,” Hailee says. But these days, Hailee knows better and recommends that no one should use the app for validation. “I can’t find it there,” she says. “You’ve got to find it within yourself. If you’re going to post something, post it because you love it or like the way you look or like what’s in the photo. That way you won’t care what people have to say about it.” Did Ariana almost call off the wedding? It’s supposed to be a happy…
