Uneaten bread is collected from delis, bakeries and sandwich makers, and brewed with malted barley, hops and yeast to produce the tipple. So far, over 20,000 slices of bread have been saved. Writing about beauty from within has been a life-long passion. One of my first ‘lightbulb’ moments was in my early twenties when I was working for a glossy women’s magazine. I’d struggled with eczema since childhood and was sent to interview a nutritionist who suggested I take evening primrose oil and add more fat to my diet. This was counter to the largely low-fat dietary mantra at the time, so I was curious to learn more. Through research and experimentation, I discovered I could indeed help control my eczema through what I ate, and that food and drink can be powerful weapons in the fight against ageing, as well as skin disorders. My first book, Vital Oils, published 25 years ago in 1991, was one of the first to link the…
