hello,

A new year and what exciting plans lay ahead. Chances are that if you have picked up this magazine for the first time you have a big year to plan! Getting married is a very significant time in your life with lots of exciting new memories to be made with your partner. So, it is a massive congratulations to all the newly engaged couples who answered ‘yes’ to that all important and life changing question “will you marry me?” over the Christmas/New Year period. Choosing a date and venue are two of the most important things to decide on when planning your day. Some dates are quite specific too. One of the most sought after dates this year was the 20th of February (20/02/2020) with couples locking in that date up to…

annalee and trent

09.03.2019 In early 2012 I had just moved back to my hometown New Plymouth after living in Australia for six years and at 21 I was excited for the fresh change. A few months later Trent and I happened to bump into each other one night in town as we had a mutual friend. We hit it off instantly. At the beginning when we were getting to know each other he would plan actual dates which was really special. For example, he planned a bike ride along the foreshore, then we got coffee and chatted for hours. He plays inline hockey, so he took me skating and when it was Guy Fawkes he set up a little dinner on top of a hill in Fitzroy that looked out over the ocean and…

ciara and corey

17.11.2018 Corey and I met at the Auckland International departure gate, our place of work, in 2015. From the first time I met Corey I knew I had to get to know him more. There was something about him. I had a burning curiosity about him and had to pursue the fire! He never really spoke to me much at work and was very mysterious, so I was on a mission to get to know him! We eventually got to know each other over drinks on a few different occasions. I knew we had a future together when we discussed our hopes, dreams and plans and they were very similar. Corey proposed to me very quietly at Muriwai Beach. We often play a game called ‘what are the chances?’ where every so…

lauren and james

07.09.2019 After spending the last six years travelling and adventuring together all over the world, you’d think it would have been tough to choose a location for our wedding. I’m from Sydney and James is from Auckland, so we figured if one lot of our friends and family had to travel, we should go for a destination wedding and have everyone venture there. Queenstown was an obvious choice. We both love the mountains and have spent as much time in them as possible since we moved to New Zealand, and the idea of a winter wedding was too good to pass up. We’re both into vintage, so the winter setting really did lend itself to our style. We weren’t interested in the whites and pinks you see at so many weddings. Instead…
