“Don’t treat this like a normal fashion show,” announced Mike McRoberts as he introduced the Mercy Hospice Shops in association with New Zealand Woman’s Weekly show at NZ Fashion Week. And it certainly was a show like no other. Every “model” in the event was dressed head-to-toe in clothing from Mercy Hopsice shops, all styled by the Weekly’s Style Director Leigh Matheson and her fabulous team. The models were workers from Hospice – everyone from doctors and nurses to the friendly staff in stores – as well as friends and family of Mercy Hospice, and a few big-hearted celebrities. “Get up, clap and cheer for the people you’re here to support,” encouraged Mike, during the lively show.
