It’s been a glorious summer , hasn’t it? This season’s super weather reminds me of the summers I had as a kid – endless days of sunshine, beach visits and convincing my younger brother to play non-stop cricket with me (looking back, the five-year age gap and the fact I spar ed absolutely no mercy when it came to bowling a tennis ball to a very small human now makes me cringe a bit!). On the promotional tour for his new flick Triple Frontier, the star looked trim and terrific – a far cry from the bleary, bloated figure that his ex-wife Jennifer Garner ferried to rehab in August last year. At that point, Ben (46) seemed to have hit rock bottom. He had split from his girlfriend, Saturday Night Live talent booker Lindsay Shookus and was spotted out and about – looking worse for wear – with 22-year-old Playmate Shauna Sexton. Armed with a bible and a sober coach, Jennifer (46) staged an intervention and drove him straight to a rehabilitation centre in Malibu.
