It was a night of glitz and glamour as New Zealand’s sporting greats – and those who admire them – walked the red carpet for this year’s Halberg Awards. With COVID putting a stop to many sporting events in the last year, it was a celebration of a decade of great sporting people. Olympic sprint canoeist Lisa Carrington took out Sportswoman of the Decade. The two-time gold medallist has dominated the Sportswoman of the Year category, winning it four years in a row from 2016.
