It was the end to an unusual awards season filled with Zoom ceremonies and virtual red carpets, but the Oscars felt like a glimpse of life before Covid as the first in-person, mask-free event of the year. The intimate show, held in Los Angeles, had only 170 guests in the audience, with the usual who’s who of the best and brightest in Hollywood cut down to only the nominees and their one guest. Minari star Yuh-Jung Youn, 73, won Best Supporting Actress, making her the first Korean to win the category.
