There’s been much speculation over the title Camilla, Queen Consort, will use now that her husband Charles is King. But there’ll be no more debate once the coronation has been held on May 6 – she’ll simply be known as Queen Camilla. The palace has already started to make subtle changes – for example, the charity Camilla founded to encourage a love of books has had an official name change from The Duchess of Cornwall’s Reading Room to the Queen’s Reading Room. They’ve purposely been kept out of the spotlight, but now Camilla wants her five teenage grandchildren to play a pivotal part in the coronation ceremony. She’s asked for Lola, 15, and Freddy Parker Bowles, 13, along with Eliza, 15, and twins Louis and Gus Lopes, 13, to hold a canopy over her as she is anointed with holy oil. Royal update It’s being hailed as the crowning glory of the coronation weekend, but the concert in honour of Charles III could prove to be a fizzer as many of the UK’s top stars have had to turn down the invitation to perform.
