I wouldn’t say I’m a big Honda fan: generally, I seem to prefer bikes where the disappointment/ delight pendulum swings back and forth more vigorously than with Honda’s steadfastly dependable offerings... However, all bets are off when it comes to HRC. Nobody does race bikes better, particularly four-strokes. Since that blue and red acronym appeared in the early 1980s, it’s been on the flanks of some of the strongest-performing, and most appealling competition machinery ever seen. mot revised to allow hid or led conversion

MoT testers have been issued with new guidance that now means they do not have to automatically fail motorcycles converted from halogen bulbs to LED or HID light sources. Previously, your aftermarket Light-Emitting Diodes or High-Intensity Discharge kit would fail irrespective of how they functioned, after an update to the handbook just months ago – now it’s down to testers to use common sense (a massive ask) and test the lamp on simple functional requirements, rather than the tech inside. More of your pleas for reunion (or closure, at least). Everybody loves a happy ending. Not everybody gets one… an indifferent conclusion at best. But Wayne Jackson did find his much- missed Thunderace, and told us about it: “I bought a Thunderace for £1300 to get back into biking: the grunt and driveabilty blew me away. YAMAMOTO HONDA CB1300SF RACER There’s something irresistibly tough about a retro inline-four dripping in full-on superbike chassis parts, and this CB1300SF – built and campaigned by Japanese tuning and parts shop Yamamoto – is about as bullish as the theme gets. And we love it. Company boss Hideto Yamamoto stepped back from running the firm in 2003 to build this CB1300, such was his passion for the big Honda, and it went on to compete in the Suzuka 8 Hour X-Formula 2 class. The PS changed my life. For the better. Shock! Me? I’m in my mid-50s now, always loved bikes; loads of track days, little bit of racing, some quality crashes, basically Mr. Average. I loved keeping my bikes clean, and had no understanding of mechanics, or how an engine works. I liked to keep my hands clean.
