Call Him McSexy I can still remember the moment Patrick Dempsey caught my eye. He was the geek trying to buy his way into the popular group in Can’t Buy Me Love. Maybe it was because the guy, not the girl, needed the makeover, but the performance stuck with me. Patrick worked steadily after that, as the maybe baby daddy in a Bridget Jones sequel and the nice guy left at the altar in Sweet Home Alabama. But it was his role as McDreamy Dr. Derek Shepherd on Grey’s Anatomy that brought global fame. Shockingly enough, Patrick was not named People’s Sexiest Man Alive during his 11 seasons on the show. “I’ve always been the bridesmaid,” he jokes about appearing on our cover but not as the main act multiple…

Just under a year and a half after Baz Luhrmann’s biopic Elvis became a box office hit, a new movie is offering a fresh perspective on Elvis and Priscilla Presley’s love story. Based on Priscilla’s 1985 memoir Elvis and Me, director Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla, which hit theaters on Nov. 3, doesn’t portray the King in a flattering light. Nonetheless, his ex-wife, 78, says she’s pleased with the result. “I was very concerned about this movie, [but] I think it’s right on,” Priscilla—who was an executive producer on the film—said at a Q&A event in Las Vegas on Nov. 3. “I have no problems with what she did in any way.” Her late daughter Lisa Marie Presley—Elvis’s only child—reportedly didn’t feel the same. Variety recently published a story detailing emails that…
On Oct. 30 Céline Dion made her first public appearance in nearly four years. The Canadian superstar stepped out with her three sons in Las Vegas to cheer on her hometown ice hockey team the Montreal Canadiens during their game against the Vegas Golden Knights. Afterward the music legend, 55—who revealed her diagnosis with the rare neurological disease stiff-person syndrome last December—and her sons (with late husband René Angélil) René-Charles, 22, and twins Eddy and Nelson, 13, joined the team in the locker room for an impromptu meet and greet. “She’s been through a lot, and to see her smiling and happy … it’s amazing,” says Chantal Machabée, vice president of communications for the Canadiens. During the outing, Dion even sang “a few notes,” Machabée adds. “It was an incredible…
