I never regret working out. It helps me feel more relaxed after a stressful day at work, and it’s the best way to start the weekend because after a good sweat sesh comes a delicious brunch. Food is definitely motivation to get moving! Your mind and body sees positive changes with regular exercise too, like better heart health, increased muscle tone and more energy to get through the day, just to name a few. And let’s not forget that post-endorphin rush, your natural happy pill. The list of benefits goes on, but being human, it’s easy for us to get bored and lazy at times. Make sure the clothing’s colours are fade-proof before applying the paste. Yes, you’re welcome.…

It’s a Buddhist concept that has been revived with a modern twist, and basically means having an awareness of everything that’s going on. It’s about living in the present moment and paying attention to what’s going on, while not judging anything. When you practise mindfulness properly, it can help to reduce stress and anxiety, as well as increase your emotional intelligence and improve communication in the workplace. Here’s how you can do so. Baby steps As with everything new, it should be adopted in phases, not all at once, so you’ll gradually get used to the concept. Start slowly by working on one thing at a time, as you can’t just become “mindful” of everything overnight. So, perhaps, give yourself a different goal…

romantic nights in

When it comes to planning your next date, save yourself the frustration of trying to book a reservation at a trendy spot, and cue up Netflix instead. Watching a movie or TV series together can make your relationship stronger, a study at the University of Aberdeen found. “When you share media with your partner, it’s like you share a social circle with the people on-screen, and the sense that you’re part of a larger unit strengthens your bond to each other,” says study author Sarah Gomillion. All that for the price of popcorn.…
