ARBON’S ART John Arbon’s classic Exmoor Sock yarn has had a makeover! John and the team have been hard at work in their North Devon mill to create an improved blend of fibres, and a new colour palette of 13 shades. Blending soft, lustrous wool from Exmoor Blueface with Devon Zwartbles, Falklands Corriedale and a touch of nylon, the yarn comes in 50g/200m skeins costing ?7. The palette includes warm blues and heather shades, two sophisticated greys, and a delightful bright green called Oddmedod - an Exmoor dialect word meaning ‘snail’. To accompany the yarn, the company has produced five new sock designs, featuring geometric colourwork, twisted ribbing and cables, slip stitch patterns, and stripes. There is also a pair of elegant gloves by Aleks Byrd. www.jarbon.com 01598 752490 Scottish hues Àrd-Thìr is a new…
