YOU WILL NEED Various print fabrics for clamshells, 66 pieces each 3½in square Background fabric 15in square Two pieces of fabric for cushion back each 15in x 10in Card 3in square Glue Aluminium foil about ½yd Matching cotton thread Variegated perle cotton No.8 in pink, orange and green (optional) Two buttons (optional) Cushion pad 14in square FINISHED SIZE 14in square NOTES Neutral coloured thread should work with most of the clamshells but some darker fabrics may require matching thread. Choose quite a busy background fabric rather than a solid, so it blends in with your clamshells. Sketchbook in Spring from Alchemy by Amy Butler was used for both background and backing fabric. YOU WILL NEED Ten (10) different print fabrics for triangles (Colours 1–10) ¼yd of each Grey fabric, for background, side borders and binding 5yds Backing fabric 4½yds Batting 72in x 76in FINISHED SIZE 67½in x 72½in approx NOTES All seam allowances are ¼in, unless otherwise stated. Press seams open, unless instructed otherwise. Templates include seam allowances. WOF = width of fabric. RST = right sides together.
